Weekend

This weekend flew by! Friday I went to check out Cornell Farm in the west hills. I'm going to be participating in a garden art show there next month, and wanted to see it before I hauled more marble balls out of the basement. It is great. A nice nursery with awesome views. I wanted to buy everything in sight, but only left with two plants. I'll post the show details when I have them. I also went to the Sidestreet Gallery to see the show while it was still going on. I found this write up about that show, while looking for something else on the internet.
Saturday night we had "front row seats" to the symphony in the park. And Sunday spent the day at the beach. All in all a really nice weekend. Now I better go get some work done. The official back to school countdown is on. 13 days

Where did the week go?

Nanna came to town last week for a short visit. We got a chance to do a few things we had been wanting to do. We headed out to the gorge for some hiking on friday. The trail was beautiful and covered in blackberries in just the right spots, so I didn't have to carry anyone to the car. We saw body worlds 3 at OMSI, which was very cool.
Then drove up to johnston ridge observatory on MT St Helens for a look at the crater. Unfortunately a front came in while we were up there, so the views weren't perfect but still so great. The pictures don't even begin to do it justice. I can't wait to go again sometime.
A quick ride on the sky tram at OHSU before heading home, for a campfire.
I was able to get a little work time in on Sunday, but am realizing that things are slowing down on the crafting front while we enjoy the last of summer break and enter back to school mode.
I am still working on getting the online shops going. I hopefully will get it together in time be participating in the PDXetsy sale that is going on this weekend. When I get the details I will post them. There should be lots of good deals on some great handmade goods!!

The Bins

Another reason that we, well mostly me and Mason, love Portland is the Bins(the goodwill outlet). It was one of the reasons I wanted to move back here. Seriously, where else can you dig for and find all the treasures you want by the pound.

Sunday

After a long, long week, it was nice to have today with nothing to do. Matt was out of town all and week, and came home in time to help get ready for the Etsy show at the farmers market. The PDX Etsy group is a fun bunch, and the show went well. I thought it would be the last show for a while, but now I'm not so sure.

On another note, we've been talking a lot around here about all the reasons we love Portland. I thought I would post pictures over the next few days to show you a few of those reasons.

We're back

from a nice long vacation. I posted a ton of pictures here, but just a warning there are lots. We are getting back to normal around here, and I'm getting ready for another show on Saturday.
Check it out!
