Clearing out the drafts

I've had a bunch of posts sitting in my drafts folder waiting for me to have the time to finish them. Since that isn't happening, here is the long rambling version of all the little things going on around here.

*First of all, I am super excited to announce that I will be teaching classes for the DIY Lounge starting in July. I am only offering mosaic right now, but will be adding a soldering/ stained glass class in the fall. For class info look here.
*I've had a lot of luck finding supplies lately. Lots of good finds at the bins, and through craigslist. Check out all those different 8 balls. *A couple weeks ago I put out an ad on craigslist looking for stained glass scraps. A woman contacted me who used to do glass work, and was moving. She said she had been planning to toss all her glass scraps, and I was welcome to them. When I went to pick it up, I was surprised to see there was tons of amazing glass. So much more than pictured here. Beautiful stuff. It has been so fun going through it. I love craigslist! I also came across a bunch of cool glass smalti at SCRAP. It's new to me, but I have all kinds of ideas of how to use it.

* These quilts recently left here, headed to a couple of sweet new babies. I have two more in the works right now, but luckily have a few more weeks to finish them.
*Marigold is almost six months old. She is still really small, but has definitely found her big spot in our family. I don't know if it is possible for the boys to love her anymore than they do.

* I've added two more shows to my summer list. This weekend my work will be a part of the Toy Art Show, and in two weeks, the camp cactus summer studio sale.

*Lisa from TQB is working with Trillium Artisans on photography for the website, and artist photography training. She came out to my house a couple weeks ago to help me with my photos for my online shop. She gave me tons of ideas for places to photograph my work around the yard. It was a great experience to see my surroundings through different eyes. I have been taking tons of pictures and am planning an overhaul of my Etsy shop, which has been terribly neglected. Despite it's neglect I very happily sold my first garden ball online this week. Woo hoo!

* If you are still reading this--Thanks for letting me ramble, and get this post off my to do list. I am signing off of the computer for a while. There is a crazy busy last week of school coming up filled with lots of events, then we are off to Florida for a family trip. I'll be back here in a couple weeks. Be well!
