Better Living Show

Here are a few pictures of our Trillium Artisans booth at the better living show. Here you can see Julia's handmade paper. She also makes amazing jewelry out of reclaimed bike tires. Here are Liz's bike clocks. She also makes adorable hair clips out of vintage buttons.

You can see Carolyn's recycled stained glass earrings on the table behind my marble balls.

Hard to see in this picture, but hanging on the side of the grid, are April's bags made from reclaimed lawn chair webbing.

We've had a few lighting issues, so the pictures aren't the best. I couldn't get a picture of Anitra's china blossoms, but you can see them here.

It snowed this morning. So we went outside for a sloppy wet spring break snowball fight. I think the flowers are confused.
Here's a picture of our new community garden plot. We went to check it out today. I am so excited about this. Gardening is one of the few things that I really miss about Minnesota. It seems funny, everyone says you can grow anything in Oregon. I haven't been able to grow veggies at all. I'm blaming a too shady yard and am going to give it another try with a community plot.
The better living show is all set up, we only had one snafu, and thankfully it was fixed quickly. I will be there tonight, and tomorrow. After we got set up I was able to check out a few of the other booths. Most people weren't set up yet, but the ones that were looked great. I am really looking forward to seeing who else will be there. I forgot to bring my camera. I'm charging the batteries as I type and will be sure to post pictures from the show when I get back. It seems like the last few posts, I've said I'll be back soon, then not checked the computer for a week. Comments have been left that I didn't even realize, and apparently I've been tagged. We have another week of spring break around here with nothing on the calendar. My only plans are to make some real progress on the to do list.

I'm back. So glad to be home. I put some pictures of my clean and organized studio on flickr. This weekend I'll be helping a friend with a garage sale and getting ready for next weekend's sale. I've got more to share from my trip, so I'll be back soon with more pictures. Have a good weekend everyone.

I finished the bag that I was working on for SCRAP. They provided the burgundy bags and the patch, along with the instructions to turn it inside out and create a bag out of re-used materials. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It was the first time I'd ever done anything like it. SCRAP will be selling these in the store during the month of April, as well as at their booth at the Better Living Show. Coincidentally I will be set up in the booth next to them with five other women from Trillium Artisan's. I am really excited!!
In other exciting news, my studio is clean. Not just clean, but clean and organized. I'm so happy with it I could cry. Another trip to Ikea was required to finish the job. I have been so lucky with their "as-is" department. If the sun comes out, I'll be back next week with some pictures. For now I am off to pack for a weekend in Illinois. Have a great weekend.

I had a relatively productive week. The basement/ studio is not as clean as I hoped, but it is definitely better than it was. I finished and sent off this key holder for Suki, and am really happy with the way it turned out. It's hard to see in the picture but it has some very cool iridescent glass in it (a recent craigslist find). I made a custom stamp order on Etsy this week and am looking forword to seeing it in person. I've started working on some new tags made entirely out of recycled packaging and junk mail.
I tried to take advantage of the sunny days and get a few new pictures, but someone kept getting in the way.
We got some new wheels at our house this week. We've been biking everywhere. I can't believe how easy this makes getting around. Gotta love the REI dividend notice.
